Family thoughts
Was just thinking about our Ewers grandparents who started it all.
Our grandparents, Frederick John James Ewers and his wife Maud Humphrys, were probably pretty ordinary people of their day. They had three children, Ivy, Dorothy, and Frederick, who went on to be parents (and aunts/uncles) to us.
Those three children all made good solid marriages. They chose exceptional partners who supported them and stood by them through their lifetimes. They had children of their own who have proven to be intelligent, hard-working, creative folk (modest, too!) and who have produced another generation that is about to make its mark on the world.
I’m sure Frederick and Maud had no idea what they were starting! Reminds me of that country song – “It’s all because two people fell in love”.
