My new family members

Wendy, Belinda and Coco, duly arrived in Bourne in March, and have done us proud '3 eggs every day' they were rescue hens and were a bit bald, scruffy and skinny when we got them, but have recovered well. I can't tell who is who in this picture but they all have their own personalities and provide us with endless entertainment as well as eggs.

Mola

The proud owner of a real Mola(thanks to Kathy!) framed and hanging my lounge, I hope you can see it OK it seems to have come out a bit dark!

Needlebook swap project

front
Kathy and Connie and I did a tiny textile swap by post and here is mine made up into the cover of a needlebook.

Connie added the fine thread knitting, and some of the beads; Kathy added the contrasting looped yarn and the brads and rest of the beads. I chose the fabric and inserted the straight cords. The pages are from an old hand-stitched needlebook of Mum's.

inside back
I added a scissors case into the back cover after seeing ideas from both Connie and Kathy.

inside front
Into the inside front cover I stitched a square of fabric woven on my Weavette loom to hold the larger weaving and darning needles. A strip of leather at the bottom protects the points.
